Recently ijji released their closed beta testing for S.U.N, but unfortunately I couldn’t participate in it because my reigon was bugged and it said that I should come back at a certain time. However! I am now able to play on the open beta phase of this game, which in my opinion was released in the shortest amount of time I’ve ever seen for an mmo.

My opinions of the game so far!

It might just be me but I feel that the stat distribution needs a little bit more explaining since you can basically pump the stat your class needs. For example the valkyrie gets most of its power from the agi stat. However, to be able to equip higher level armor and weapons you need to have your str and agi at a certain level, and then from that for your skills, you have 2 different trees for the valkyrie which are the combat tree for your attacking skills, and the summon tree for buffs and little buffing summons.

So everytime you level up you get 5 points in which you can add to your stats or to your skill stat points which allow you to get greater skills. This means it’s very confusing in how you want to distribute the points for your character. You might want to build your character so he can have enough to get the highest armor and weapons, or you might just want to pump a skill stat like ether. It gets very confusing, but because there is up to 130 levels, I guess you can max out one by the time your around level 40-50.

Episode 4 – Rose and Shoe *Spoiler Warning*

Not enough Charlotte T.T

Again, another good episode, but after the awesomeness of the first episode it’s lacking something, falling into the rom-com trap of old.

This episode concentrates on Seika and Teppei’s relationship, and we discover the reason there are tensions between them. Sekai seems very distracted, obviously by her feelings towards a member of a family that her family do not get on with atall. She is a fashion designer and model, and already I have warmed to her.

The story is a bit contrived in order to have the characters come to some conclusion, and it wasn’t very dramatic. Seika wants a fellow student to be interviewed with her to make her sound amazing. And who does she pick for the job? My favourite character, Nezu Haruhiko!! Unfortunately for Sekai and his fans, he gets a cold which includes radioactive snot O.O

Teppei steps into Nezu’s shoes and takes his place. He also now knows why Seika dislikes him so much: a member of her family had an affair with Teppei’s Grandfather, so Arima cut off ties with Houjouin and Seika could not sell her clothes in Arima stores. Teppei manages to end the feud with them, and Seika falls even more, seeing as he was very complimentary of her in the interview.

As you can see, the plot of this episode is very easy to sum up, and without Sylvie or Charlotte the humour didn’t occur as much as in previous episodes. Princess Lover is a good anime, but I feel the darker tones of the first episode could be carried on more.

Episode 3 – Sword and Dance *Spoiler Warning*

Another good installment of the popular Princess Lover series. Though nothing spectacular happens in this episode, there are some golden moments and it was a fun twenty three minutes. More character development and , ofcourse, plenty more opportunity to look at Sylvie and Charlotte’s assets.

The episode begins continuing Sylvia and Arima Teppei’s epic face-off, which doesn’t really come to any conclusion. It does, however, attract the attention of Seika and enrages her. We don’t yet know why she holds such a grudge against Teppei, but I’m sure you can guess it has something to do with their families.

Yuu informs Teppei that the Society Club is the place for him to be. Unfortunately, the president of that club is none other than Houjouin Seika, who is not going to let him join that easily. Thus begins Teppei’s education. He must proove he has what it takes at the next Society Club party. Teppei must learn to drink, dance, walk and talk like a high class man. Charlotte wins first prize for being a sexy mentor, although a bit naive…

Well.. who wouldn’t get excited being with her?

Though I wouldn’t say Teppei is a refined character at the end, he manages to pull through on charm alone. The party is successful and everyone thinks he’s a wonderful sucessor to the Arima fortune. It’s still not enough for Seika and poor Teppei must host a party in a week.

All is not lost though.. the harem has continued to grow! The tsundere like Seika has fallen for the guy she hates.. It was bound to happen really.

So far, the series is taking it easy with the casual, fun episodes. It’s definately still one to watch though, if not for the story, for the ecchi value atleast.

Playing On Kadopan!

Even though on the Windus server I have a level 30 mage a level 30 scout and a level 30 gunner, I have started a new theif, and soon to be rogue on Kadopan. Also on Kadopan I have a level 30 scout ready to kit out when I get richer, and when I know all the skills are sorted out.

WonderKing CBT II D: <

It’s all well and good that they let the players from the first CBT start at level 30 on this CBT, but the lack of equips and items they let us start with is pretty poor. I’m not one to complain normally because I would say stuff like

“Go do the wind alter quests and bee hive quests to earn some fast gold!”.

However, starting at level 30 with a measley 15k and level 1 equips makes you about as usefull as a full int warrior.

Next, I go on to my level 30 scout “Satisfaction’ and try and complete the job advancement class straight away.

Since not being able to play WonderKing for a while, my dodging skills were a bit rusty especially with my lack of speed pots and my new keyboard. Next, I attempt to do the quest but fail because my damage is far too low to even keep the mobs at bay, I’m squishier than a soaking wet sponge so the first attempt came to an EPIC FAIL. On the second attempt I just ran out of time because of the damn spawning palm tree glitching out my attacks, my normal attack glitches out on the third shot, and the 3 shot skill works when it wants too and basically makes a lag factory for me and the mob.

After doing some quick forum searching I find similar rants to mine about the Scout and archer’s skills being bugged. Hopefully they will fix this in an upcoming patch, but did they really do much in these last few weeks?

Already there is an error with some people’s clients, where they have to run from a different loader, and some people have trouble with hackshield, since WonderKing previously used GameGuard.

I decided to cash in the remaining money I had left on my scout and pass it to my other scout which was soon to become a gunner. For the fun of it, I decided to do some starter quests on that character to help me get some free pots and earn a bit of money. Which helped x.x

I then managed to do the job advancement alot easier because I could affort the level 2x set of armor and the rifle.

The 3 shot skill really didn’t help me at all, and so I was left with my low level quick shot, and my low level gatling gun :3

Anyways, I’m going to wait for some of these bugs to be corrected, and then I will maybe make my mage into a battle priest or something, although If I can’t even afford to use the warps I don’t know how i’ll keep up with my mage’s habit of drinking mana like a train.

Closed Beta II unlocks undiscovered maps that contain new and exciting quests, and missions. Take up your weapon and join the fight against savage tribes, cross swords with beasts from ancient times, persevere through dire circumstances that the environment weighs down on you, and learn the true meaning of survival as you battle hordes of enemies!

Furthermore, we’re excited to announce that the spotlight will be focused on the highly anticipated Second Advancement classes. To obtain these classes, you must be an experienced adventurer. Therefore, we are releasing the level cap even more for Closed Beta II. Utilizing one’s old and new skills, adventurers will experience a combination of power absolutely necessary to battle mightier and craftier enemies.

We anticipate an even larger population participating in the second phase of Closed Beta. We would like to give our thanks in advance to those joining us in our quest to take WonderKing to new heights. We sincerely hope that you will enjoy yourself in the enchanting lands of WonderKing.

Needless Episode 6 Review *Spoilers*

I know I haven’t been doing reviews of previous episodes, but I thought I might aswell start doing them now, and continue on from this point. X3

This episode took me by surprise, I was hoping for some more story devlopment, but I think the writers decided to increase this anime’s ecchi levels a bit more. However, they did include something new that Simeon is up too which has got the group confused. Furthermore Simeon now has Eve in their hands.! O_<

Basically this episode follows the girl squad as they are trying to chase down Eve that has just ran into a mansion which is said to hold a large amount of treasure, but is guarded by a secrutiy system known as Goldylocks.

As the girl squad consiting of Mio, Setsuna and Kuchinashi try to chase down Eve they keep getting involved in the defense traps of the mansion which step by step reduces the amount of clothing they wear.

In the first defense mechanism they have to get across a corridor that shoots flames at you, so Setsuna uses her speed and her buttons from her top to block the holes where the fire comes out of.

In the next trap they go to open the door, and fall down a pit which then makes them use some of their clothing to create a rope for them to climb back up with.

After this, they manage to catch up with Eve who is drinking some of her drink, which sadly isn’t the one she wanted since it’s a light version with zero calories.

They then chase her into a room which measures how much they weigh, and if it matches the mansion’s owner.

Unfortunately for the girl squad their weight isn’t anywhere near his weight, so they have to remove all their clothing. Including their pants.

Because of Eve’s lack of calories she falls onto the floor setting off the defense system again causing htem to be washed down a tube and shot out of a cannon.

After all of this Adam Archlight announces too everyone at the black spot that they need to come to his tower or they will be wiped out.

This is basically it for this episode of Needless.

Sorry for the lack of posts, I will be making more again now including new news and guides about WonderKing and Emil Chronicle when they release. Furthermore, I’ve just started to play around on Rohan online so I will create some guides for that too :3

End Of Closed Beta Test 30th July

Dear WonderKing Community,

To everyone that participated in the Closed Beta, we sincerely express our gratitude. Your feedback on everything from game-play suggestions to bug reports remains pivotal in our efforts to deliver a perfect WonderKing.

As we draw near the end of Closed Beta and we look to the future, we realize both the flaws and the potential that WonderKing has. Improvements on many features still remain achievable. Therefore, we decided to move onto the next phase: Closed Beta II. Keep in mind that the essence of the work you put into the game endures through all phases of the game. The amount of time you put into the Closed Beta has affected thousands, perhaps even millions of future users.

In appreciation for your participation, we would like to inform you that the character names used in Closed Beta I will stay with their respective characters as we transition into Closed Beta II, but that’s not all.

All characters will start off at level 30 and will have their stats/skill points reset and will begin at a more advanced town so they can quickly advance to the new maps we’re opening for Closed Beta phase II. These maps will serve as gateways to the advanced game play that WonderKing features, and we would like for all our users to jump in as soon as possible. Although the rebirth of your character by such means will erase all evidence of its past, there is no need to despair. New adventures not available in the past are ready to be undertaken.

On July 30th, 12 PM PDT, Closed Beta will end, and there will be a cool down period. Your waiting time won’t be too long, and during that time, we will hold various forum events and keep our player base informed. We are also opening a Suggestion forum where users can propose ideas and improve on them. We will be watching all the forums during the cool down period to accumulate ideas and feedback on the first Closed Beta. We urge our users to continue visiting our website for the most current information regarding Closed Beta II.

I don’t know what all of you thought about this beta test, but to me it felt like a very long beta test which was good in a way, but I did feel like they should close it down and make way for obt, or in this case cbt2.

I really really enjoyed the cbt of WonderKing, and will be playing it onwards. I’m really hooked to the scout class, but i’m confused on what to be when the game officially releases since I really enjoy the archer class and the gunner class.

Since cbt will allow me to start of as level 30, I can make my definite choice, and i’m very happy since it means i’ll have a wizard a gunner and an archer to try out even further. Hopefully, the bugs with the archer’s tripple ray skill and the mage’s ice ray skill will be fixed so I can see what the classes are really like since the mage’s ice ray is a pretty awesome skill.

Also I’m glad I won’t have to sit myself through more tedious quests that chain together to form 10 different quests =x=
